Acceptable Use Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
In short: Atelier runs on your computer and we don't see what you make, so following these rules is your responsibility. Don't use it to break the law, hurt people, deceive people, or take other people's work. Breaking these rules can end your subscription.
1. You may not use Atelier to make, edit or share
- any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises minors, in any form. We report it to the authorities where we become aware of it;
- sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent, or that place a real person in a sexual situation;
- images, video or audio of real people meant to deceive, such as fake evidence, impersonation, fraud, or misleading political or news content, unless it's clearly labelled as made or altered with AI;
- content that harasses, threatens, bullies or defames someone, or reveals their private information;
- content that promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred against people because of who they are;
- content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, including passing off output as another artist's or brand's work;
- anything else that is illegal where you are or where it's published.
2. You may not
- share your account, or get around the sign-in, subscription or computer checks;
- copy, resell or redistribute Atelier, or offer it to others as a hosted service;
- use Atelier to build malware, or to attack, overload or probe our systems or anyone else's;
- use Atelier in situations where a mistake could cause death, injury or serious harm, such as medical diagnosis or controlling vehicles or machinery.
3. Model licences and their rules
The AI models in Atelier come with their own licences, and some come with their own use policies. Those rules apply to you as well, as listed on our open source and AI models page and in the third-party notices that come with Atelier. Where they're stricter than this policy, they win. In particular:
- Meta's SAM License and DINOv3 License (used for cutouts and in the 3D tools): you may not use Atelier, or what you make with it, for any activity subject to the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or prohibited by trade controls, including military or warfare purposes, nuclear industries or applications, espionage, or developing or using guns or illegal weapons, and you may not use them if you are the target of trade controls.
- Model publishers' responsible-use terms (for example Wan 2.2, FLUX.2 and Pixal3D): no use that breaks the law, causes harm, spreads misinformation, targets vulnerable groups, or makes non-consensual sexual content or sexualised depictions of real people or of minors.
- Face tools: Atelier's face restoration finds faces only to improve them. Don't use it to identify people or for surveillance.
- Don't remove, alter or get around content filters, licence checks, provenance data or watermarks (such as Google's SynthID) in Atelier or its output.
4. Services you connect
When you use your own Google Gemini key or Claude account with Atelier, that company's usage policies also apply, such as Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy and Anthropic's Usage Policy.
5. If someone breaks these rules
We may suspend or end the account of anyone who breaks this policy, as set out in our Terms of Service, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities. To report misuse, email info@cruxbitlabs.com.
